Is all this talk about cosplay making you feel creative? Would you like to give it a try? If you have never tried cosplay before, here are some tips to get started (adapted from the article "How to Cosplay an Anime Character" at WikiHow).
1. Choose a character! Pick a character who you would like to dress as from your favorite movie, video game, anime, or comic. Choosing a character you are familiar with will be more fun!
2. Observe your character! How do they look? What is their style of dress? What is their personality? Look around on the internet for pictures of your character in order to gain some inspiration.
4. Style your hair! Hairstyles, especially in anime and manga, are what help to make a certain character easily identifiable. Either get a wig or style your own hair in a way that matches your character, including the color and the style itself!
5. Accessorize! Sometimes, the little details make all the difference!
6. Wear your costume! Find an upcoming convention where you can show off your costume and meet other cosplayers. Have fun!
